Mil-Dot Ranger — including its name, icon, user interface design, built-in target profiles, and source code — is the property of C&S Industries, LLC. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of this application, or any portion of it, is strictly prohibited.
Mil-Dot Ranger uses your iPhone's motion sensor (via Apple's CoreMotion framework) to measure shot angle when you tap the inclinometer button. This data is:
You can deny or revoke motion sensor access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness. The app will continue to work normally — you can enter the angle manually instead.
Mil-Dot Ranger has no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service, and no internet connectivity of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage statistics, or any other personal information.
Your custom target profiles and app preferences — including your last-used target, reticle type, and reticle span setting — are saved only in your device's local app storage (iOS UserDefaults), so your settings persist between sessions. This data never leaves your device and is deleted automatically if you delete the app.
Mil-Dot Ranger does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this page ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does collect data — we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
